Of all the cities we have visited in the past 29… soon to be 30 years, I have never had a more profound experience than that which I made in Hiroshima. I woke up in the early hours watching the devastating news from the Middle East and Africa in the isolation of my comfortable hotel room. I went on to spend the day walking through the city and visiting the memorial museum, I came away with a greater sense of urgency to use our music and live performances to promote world peace. As Albert Camus, the great French writer and philosopher said in reaction to learning of the bombing of Hiroshima... Peace is the only battle worth waging.
